Buyout

Paying once for broad or unlimited usage instead of licensing for a defined period. A full buyout in perpetuity across all media is the most expensive form of a booking, because the artist can never re-sell that material or that association. Often requested casually and rarely needed; a defined licence with an option to extend usually costs less and serves the same campaign.
