Appearance fee

What an artist is paid to attend an event: to arrive, be present, and do what was briefed — hosting, a short performance, a walk-on, press on arrival. It covers the time on site plus the travel and the day it occupies. If anything is filmed or photographed for later use, that is usage and sits outside the appearance fee.
